Introduction to DBT Skills (Dialectical Behavior Therapy)
$10 per group
$20 Materials Fee (one time only)
Mondays, 9:15am – 10:45am
June 1st – August 3rd (no class on July 6th)
Materials: A copy of: The Dialectical Behavior Therapy Skills Workbook: Practical DBT Exercises for Learning Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotional Regulation & Distress Tolerance (July 1, 2007) by McKay, Wood & Brantley is included in the material fee and is required for the class.
Join us for a 9-week class introducing this remarkable set of tools that can change your life! DBT is about discovering HOPE. Life can be difficult at times. The DBT tools you will learn can help you gain better control over your emotions. How you react to intense feelings can change. The key skills which you will learn here promote emotion regulation, an ability to manage distress in healthy ways, resolution of conflicts and healthy relationships.
